What is behavioral consulting & coaching?

Behavioral Coaching involves essentially supervised action in the clients real time situations at work. We start by teaching our program participants how to effectively manage THEMSELVES, their own emotional responses to situations, increase awareness of others, reduce bias, and think more clearly about what is wanted and needed in situations.

Next, we teach robust, evidence-based methods for structuring conversations and then teach and role play stylistic strategies, tools, and techniques to help you be effective in even the most CONFOUNDING relationships. We teach methods for problem solving relationship “situations” without having to involve the other person.

Research in brain science shows that immediate feedback is the most effective way to ensure new behaviors are retained as long-term strategies. Our work is highly interactive with participants and our goal is to help each client feel that the way they communicate “fits” them. We call this Social Well-Being.

We teach skills through actual conversational practice and rehearsal in video and telephone sessions. Other programs teach cognitively and often use microlearning programs to teach soft skills. We don’t think this method is as effective as behavioral rehearsal. We believe training situational awareness and an ability to think on one’s feet requires just in time feedback in real-world situations. We bring a fresh, intelligent and approachable strategy to each client to help them become confident and flexible.
